Generally, we meet every Saturday afternoon at the new time of 11 am at Prospect College, Honey End Land, to the West of Reading, about 2 miles from the town centre. The postcode is RG30 4EX.
Please note that we meet within the school:
Prospect school has its main entrance in Honey End Lane, off Bath Road. Turning on to Honey End Lane from Bath Road, turn into the main entrance, and park in the car park. Then go toward the school building. On the right hand side, go up the disabled entrance. The music room, where we are, is directly to your right. How to get to services at our regular meeting place (Prospect School):
If arriving by CAR, the college is a few miles from Junction 12 of the M4 in the direction of central Reading along the A4.
If arriving by TRAIN, the nearest railway station is Reading West, which is 1.3 miles away. However, as it is awkward to get to and there is no bus link to Honeyend Lane, it is better to go to Reading Central Station and catch bus number 25, 31 or 34. Bus no.25 is preferable, as it stops closest to the College. For details of timetables and fares, ring National Rail enquiries on 08457 48 49 50 or go to: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/
BUSES nos. 25, 31 and 34 all stop close by. Bus no. 25 is preferable as it stops closest to the College and if taking bus nos. 31 or 34 then get off at the Victory pub. The College is close by.
